A SHOWER OF MAGICAL FUN AT EK
Visit Enchanted Kingdom on any weekend of July and get your fill of world-class entertainment!
Catch a glimpse of Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and Elvis Presley look-alikes as they walk around the theme park grounds on all weekends of July. Meet these Hollywood Legends and take your souvenir photos with them. Also happening on all weekends of July at 4PM at the Bandstand is the hotdog-eating contest in cooperation with Purefoods Tender Juicy Sweet Corn. Prizes await winners and contestants of this fun and exciting food competition!
On July 5, see Amber Davis in the flesh as the Fil-Am “Pop Jewel” whose sultry looks resemble that of Mandy Moore, performs live at the Bandstand at 6PM. She won recognition at the 2007 Awit Awards for “Best New Female Recording Artist,” was named “Artist of the Year” by Monster Radio RX 93.1, and her 2nd single “Back Into You” was named OPM Song of the Year in 2007.
The Enchanted Storybook, which happens at the bandstand at 4:30PM, will feature the following celebrities while they make time for their favorite charity group as Storyteller: Jamie Rivera on July 5, Angelika dela Cruz on July 6, and Isabella on July 26.
On July 12 and 19, the legendary Hotdog band, which engendered what is now known worldwide as “the Manila Sound,” will have a reunion concert with Rene Garcia and Maso Diez performing also at the bandstand at 6PM. The concert will feature generation chart-toppers such as Manila, Annie Batungbakal, Pers Lab, Bongga ka Day, and many more hits that signaled the beginning of Original Pilipino Music or OPM, which were instrumental in bringing the quality of local pop music up to par with international standards.

On other weekends of July, the Powerhouse band will perform at the Bandstand on the 6th, 20th, and 27th while The Brothers’ performance will be on the 13th and 26th. Gig starts at 4:30 PM with a second set at 6PM.
Eldar the Wizard, also has a treat for those who get rained upon during their weekend visit - a free ticket so they can return to enjoy the park another day! So, rain or shine, make your way this weekend to nearby City of Santa Rosa in Laguna and keep the magic flowing!

Enchanted Kingdom launches Triassic Tag
The next level of combat gaming is now here!
After Airsoft and Paintball comes Triassic Tag, a version of Battlefield Live, a new live action combat game using completely safe infra red light technology.
Triassic Tag is the first in the country and is Enchanted Kingdom’s latest attraction. The gadgets used in the game are built and developed in Australia and utilize infra red light technology instead of paint balls and compressed air.
According to Triassic Tag arena Scottish game operator, Ian Meikle, the infra-red technology makes the game a fun and safe game to play for everybody. Meikle, a former engineer of the British Army, Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (R.E.M.E.) for over 15 years remarks, "There are NO physical missiles that can hurt players. Players consistently comment that they had more fun than expected."

"Nothing comes closer to real combat battle than this," adds Ian, who was also trained in unarmed combat, jungle warfare, winter survival, and winter warfare.
"The weapons fire a high velocity infra red light bullet (pulse) that is detected by sensors worn on the head and on the gun. When players are hit, the gun makes a loud noise, the sensors flash and indicates that the player loses a "life." Each player is given five lives, although the guns can be set for different numbers of lives. The weapon also displays ammunition left," says Peter Stevens, Operations Director of Triassic Tag and a former Senior Superintendent of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force for 21 years.

In the game played most commonly called, "Death Match," once a player has been hit five times, the gun makes a louder noise and turns off, preventing cheating. The player then needs to go back to the team referee for re-spawning (resetting) of the gun, so that the player can go back and re-join the game. The team that loses the least number of lives wins.
"The game guarantees minutes of adrenaline-pumping action that is definitely something new for the park guests, the excitement actually stays with you," adds Peter.
Playing Triassic Tag
Lest you think that Triassic Tag is just running, ducking and shooting, operators Ian and Peter state that the game revolves around a story involving timely issues such as global warming, saving the environment, and time travel.
At the start of the game, players are divided into two games – the Red
Rebels and the Black Guards.

The adventure starts in the year 2550, when the future survival of humans on
earth hangs in the balance. There is famine caused by global warming and
wars over what little resources remain. Many humans have already left the earth to live on other planets and more are traveling to other stars and galaxies. Most will not survive.
The mission of the Black Guards is to protect the one and only remaining natural precious stone that still has any value - a huge diamond. All other minerals have been stripped from the earth. The Black Guard’s scientists have just found a way to use the diamond in a machine to travel through time. They plan to use it to return to the late 20 the century to stop the production of green-house gasses and to save the world from future destruction.
The Red Rebels want to use the time machine so that they can go back in time to a place when diamonds were common, so that they can collect many more and build a more powerful time-machine so that they can all escape from the earth and leave it to die.
The mission of both the Red Rebels and Black Guards then start when the Red Rebels succeeded in using the time machine and traveled back to the Triassic period, which was at the beginning of the age of the great dinosaurs. The Black Guards must follow them and stop them or the earth is doomed.
Among the first to try this game were friends Junnel Acavada and Gerrellee Schwartz, who was also celebrating her birthday last November 10. They were part of the winning red team.
They recommend the games, saying, "It is so much fun, challenging, exciting and safe. The infra-red technology doesn’t hurt players like the other combat games now and it is more difficult since the sensors or targets are worn just on the head. You’ll be forced to think of tactics."
Triassic Tag is located at the Boulderville of Enchanted Kingdom. For an admission fee of only P100 to the Triassic Tag arena, guests are in for some adrenalin-pumping action that stays even after the game.

Tales From the Enchanted Kingdom Issue 6: New Lives, New Lessons and a Different Brand of Magic

With new lives and new lessons learned, the hopeful wizards -- Dar, Kiara and Torian --- are back in Issue 6 of the comic magazine "Tales from the Enchanted Kingdom."
A new and exciting journey for the three wizards-in-training unfolds to find out who among them is destined to be the greatest wizard of all. This new tale promises a new set of tests and reveals a different brand of magic.
Torian continues his training with the flamboyant sorcerer Megor. He has already mastered the art of the fire spell and is very much determined to advance further and learn the powers of transformation on his own. He sneaks away from Megor and finds himself in the company of dragons to try his skills in transformation.
Meanwhile, Kiara goes to Dor Alphir to train under the enchantress Rayvana. She will keep on going through menial tasks until she learns the rules of the authoritarian enchantress. Her further training has to wait until she meets the kind and gentle Rusalka, and surreptitiously trains under her watchful eye.
Dar and Master Curunir finally reach the village of Parth Mallen where Dar finds himself among people so like the people of Zurin. Dar immediately falls in love with the golden village, his home for the next couple of years where he will advance his training.
